Education Incursion

An INCURSION is defined as an activity organised by the school, whereby an outside body is employed to come into the school to run an educational activity for the students.
Whereas an EXCURSION is defined as an activity organised by the school whereby students leave the school grounds to engage in educational activities.
Incursions reinforce, complement and extend learning opportunities beyond the classroom. Teaching kids that learning is not limited to school, and that valuable and powerful learning takes place in the real
world.
They provide shared class experiences and a sense of group cohesiveness. And the best part is that the kids stay at school and engage in incursion on the school grounds, a activity hall or oval. No
transport arrangements, permission slips or messy insurance paperwork to deal with.
